ABOUT ME…
I have lived in and around Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania for nearly my entire life, aside from a seven-year stint in the Baltimore/Washington, DC area in my 20s. I have my B.S. in English-Education from Duquesne University and an MFA in Creative Writing from Chatham University. For 32 years, I taught middle and high school English. Recently, I took over as Chairperson of the Literary Arts Department at Pittsburgh CAPA (school for the Creative and Performing Arts). I love reading and writing in nearly all genres of fiction. I have three children with a 19-year age difference between the oldest and youngest. I am the COO of the Bosser-Wilson household, where my French bulldog, Blue, also resides.

Professional Development…try Professional Detriment!

It’s a typical day in the life of a teacher. Your lessons have been planned in advance. You drive to your building (and actually pull into the lot and not drive by it as everyone in the world–teacher or not–fantasizes about doing when they get to work). You arrive inside only to learn that your

Happy Tuesday, October 21! I wanted to take a moment to announce that for the month of November, I will be participating in the National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo) challenge to write a novel (or 50,000 words) in one month (https://nanowrimo.org/). Today, I completed the prep courses they recommend taking before you embark on writing,
